.

Meaning:
Even with having Kubera as his friend, Lord Shiva has to go for Alms. Hence wealth of relatives doesn’t come to help in need, one has to make oneself secure in times of need

Kubera (also Kuvera or Kuber) is the king of the Yakshas and the lord of wealth in Hindu mythology. He is also known as Dhanapati, the lord of riches. He is one of the Guardians of the directions , representing the Uttara-disha, meaning north of 4 directions in Sanskrit. – Courtesy – Wikipedia
