Composer: Dhurjati (or Dhoorjati) (Telugu: ధూర్జటి) (15th and 16th centuries, CE) was a Telugu poet. He was born to Singamma and Narayana in Sri Kalahasti and was the grandson of Jakkayya. He was a great devotee of lord Shiva, also known as Kalahasteeshwara. ఏ వేదంబు పఠించెలూత,భుజగం / బే శాస్త్రముల్సూచె దా
నే విద్యాభ్యసనం బొనర్చెగరి,చెం / చేమంత్రమూహించె, బో
ధావిర్భావ నిధానముల్ చదువుల / య్యా? కావు,మీ పాదసం
సేవాసక్తియె కాక జంతుతతికిన్ / శ్రీకాళాహస్తీశ్వరా!
తాత్పర్యం:
శ్రీకాళాహస్తీశ్వరా!నిన్ను కొల్చిన సాలెపురుగు ఏ వేదమును చదువలేదు.నిన్ను పూజించిన సర్పము ఏ శాస్త్రమును అభ్యసింపలేదు.నిన్ను భుజించిన ఏనుగు ఏ విద్యను నేర్వలేదు.బోయవాడైన తిన్నడు ఏ మంత్రమును నిన్ను అర్చించుటకై నేర్చుకొనలేదు.నీ పూజ చేయవలెనను జ్ఞాన్ము పొందుటకు సమస్త ప్రాణులకు ఏ చదువులు అక్కరలేదు.కేవలము నీ పాదములను అర్చించవలెనను కోరికయే అందుకు మూలకారణము.

O Lord! The spider who prayed you did not study the Vedas, nor did the serpent or the elephant. The hunter, Tinna, uttered no great hymn to show his devotion. Thus, no great education is required to serve you. One only needs a desire to serve you
