పద్యం:
నిన్నే రూపముగా భజింతు మదిలో / నీ రూపుమోకాలో స్త్రీ
చన్నో కుంచమో,మేకపెంటియొ యీ / సందేహముల్మాన్పి నా
కన్నార న్భవదీయమూర్తి సగుణా / కారంబుగా జూపవే
చిన్నీరేజ విహార మత్తమధుపా / శ్రీకాళహస్తీశ్వరా!
తాత్పర్యం:
శ్రీ కాళాహస్తీశ్వరా!నీ భక్తులు కోరిన రీతిన సేవించిన చోటనే ప్రత్యక్షమగుచూ వారికి వరాల నిచ్చుచున్నాను.
1.శ్రీకృష్ణుని ఆనతి మేరకు అర్జునుడు కృష్ణుని మోకాలి చిప్పమీద శివుని పూజింపగా,అర్జునునకు ప్రత్యక్షమై పాశుపతాస్త్రమిచ్చెను.అట్టి నిన్ను మనస్సులో ఏ రూపములో ద్యానము చేయగలను.నీవు ఒకసారి మోకాలిచిప్పరూపులోను,స్త్రీ యొక్క స్థనములోను,ద్యానము కొల్చే కుంచము రూపములోను,మేక పెంటిక రూపములోనునీ భక్తులకు దర్శనమిచ్చితివి.నీది అసలు ఏ రూపము.నా ఈ అనుమానము తీర్చి కనులారా నీ రూపమును దర్శించనిమ్ము.
2.ఒక భక్తుడు స్త్రీలోలుడై శివరాత్రినాడు సంగమము జరుపుచున్న స్త్రీస్తనము మీద శివరూపమును ద్యానించగా శివుడు ప్రత్యక్షమై వానికి కైవల్యమిచ్చెను.అందుకే ఆయన ఆచంటేశ్వరుడు.
3.ఒక వర్తకుడు దాన్యము కొలుచ్చుండగా దాన్యకుంచము మీద శివుని ద్యానించగా అచట ప్రత్యక్షమై వానికి మోక్షమిచ్చెను.ఆకారణం చేతనే ఆయన కుంచేశ్వరుడు.
4.ఒక గొల్లడు మేక పెంటికలేరుచు అచ్చట శివనామము ద్యానించగా పెంటికమీద శివుడు ప్రత్యక్షమై కైవల్య ప్రాప్తినిచ్చెను.

Meaning:
O Lord! You grant boons to your devotees in the form they pray you:
1.Once Arjuna prayed to Krishna, at his direction, to his knee cap. You. Lord Shiva, appeared as Krishna’ knee cap and granted Arjuna with Pashupataastra (The divine arrow with your power). Thus you took form like a Knee cap, in a woman’s breast, the rice measuring cup and the faeces of a goat. How do I describle your real form? So kindly satisfy my doubt and appear to me!
2.Once a devotee of shiva had communion with a woman on the day of shivaraatri. During this he prayed to the Lord looking at the woman’s breast and the Lord appeared. Hence Lord Shiva is called “Achanteswara”
3.Once a trader of rice, when measuring rice, prayed for the Lord and He appeared in the measuring cup (Kuncha). Hence the Lord, got the name, “Kuncheswara”
4.Once a shepherd collecting the dried faeces of the sheep prayed the Lord and the Lord appeared in the faeces and liberated him.
