Composer: Dhurjati (or Dhoorjati) (Telugu: ధూర్జటి) (15th and 16th centuries, CE) was a Telugu poet. He was born to Singamma and Narayana in Sri Kalahasti and was the grandson of Jakkayya. He was a great devotee of lord Shiva, also known as Kalahasteeshwara. రోసిరోయదు కామినీ జనుల తా / రున్యోరు సౌఖ్యంబులన్,
పాసీపాయదు పుత్ర మిత్ర దన సం / పశ్బ్రాంతి,వాంఛాలతల్
కోసీకోయదు నామనంబకట! నీ / కున్ ప్రీతిగా సత్క్రియల్
చేసీచేయదు దీని త్రుళ్ళణచవే / శ్రీకాళాహస్తీశ్వరా!

శ్రీకాళాహస్తీశ్వరా! నామన్స్సు స్త్రీలతో కూడి యౌవన సౌఖాయన్ని పూర్తిగా వదలక మరల కోరుచున్నది. మఱియు పుత్ర,మిత్ర,దనముల మీద భ్రాంతి పూర్తిగా నదించక మరల భ్రాంతి కల్గుచున్నది.కోరికలు అనే తీగెలను పూర్తిగా కోసి తెంచలేకపోవుటచే,మరల పుట్టుచున్నవి.మనస్సు నీకు ప్రీతిని కలిహ్గించే మంచి పనులను పూర్తిగా చేయనీయుటలేదు.కాబట్టి నా మనస్సు యొక్క పొగరణచమని నా ప్రార్థన.

O Lord! My mind still seeks the pleasure of union with women; it is unable to break through the illusion of progeny, friendships and wealth. It is not able to break away the shackles of desire and offer itself in your service. Please break this pertinacity.
