Composer: Dhurjati (or Dhoorjati) (Telugu: ధూర్జటి) (15th and 16th centuries, CE) was a Telugu poet. He was born to Singamma and Narayana in Sri Kalahasti and was the grandson of Jakkayya. He was a great devotee of lord Shiva, also known as Kalahasteeshwara. శ్రీకాళహస్తీశ్వరా!మానవులకు దేవతాస్త్రీలను కామించి అనుభవించినను కొంచెమనైను వాంచ తీరదు, అత్యున్నతమైన బ్రహ్మ పదవి లభించిననూ ఆశ తీరదు.అన్ని లోకములను మ్రింగివేసిననూ కారణ రహితమైన కోపము తగ్గుట లేదు.అందుచే ఈ ప్రపంచమందలి సుఖభోగములు నాకు అక్కరలేదు.కాబట్టి నీ సేవ చేసి మహాపాపములనెడి సముద్రమును దాటవలనెని కోరుచున్నాను.

Amara sthreela raminchinanjedadhu mo / hanbinthayunbrahma pa
ttamu sidhdinchina naasadheeradhu,niroo /da krodhamun sarvalo
kamulanmringina maanadhindhugala sau / Khyanbolla, nee saevachae
si mahaapaathaka vaaraashi gaduthun / shreekaalahastheeshvaraa!
Meaning:
O Lord! Human desire is endless; it doesn’t satisfy even by union with the heavenly women or by getting the crown of Lord Indra (King of Gods). Human anger doesn’t satisfy even if it engulfs all worlds. I renounce such comforts. Hence I seek to cross this ocean of misery by serving you.
