Rathiraajudhdhathimeera Nokka Parigo (రతిరాజుద్దతిమీర నొక్క పరిగో)

Composer: Dhurjati (or Dhoorjati) (Telugu: ధూర్జటి) (15th and 16th centuries, CE) was a Telugu poet. He was born to Singamma and Narayana in Sri Kalahasti and was the grandson of Jakkayya. He was a great devotee of lord Shiva, also known as Kalahasteeshwara. He referred to his birthplace as part of Pottapi Nadu, named after an earlier Chola kingdom based from Pottapi in Cuddapah in his works. More...

రతిరాజుద్దతిమీర నొక్క పరిగో / రాజాశ్వున్నిన్నోత్తబో
నతడా దర్పకువేగనొత్తగవయం / బాబోతు నూదాకి యు
గ్రత జోరాడగనున్న యున్నడిమిలే / గల్వోలె శోకానల
స్థితిపాలై మొరపెట్టనన్ మునుపవే / శ్రీకాళహస్తీశ్వరా!

తాత్పర్యం:
శ్రీకాళహస్తీశ్వరా!కామమును కల్పించు మన్మథుడు ఒకసారి నీ భక్తులకు అనేక వికారములు సృష్టించి, భాదింపగా,నీ భక్తియనెడి శక్తి వాటిని జయింప బూనుకొనెను.కాని ఆబోతులు క్రుమ్ములాడ మద్యలో నడిమి లేగ దూడలు నలుగునట్లు వారిమద్య నలిగిపోవుచున్న నీ భక్తులకు నీవే రక్షింపుము.

Meaning:
O Destroyer of Desire! Long ago, when Manmadha, the God of desire and love, crossed his duty and tried to rouse desire in you, you have suppressed him with your power. Now save your devotees, being trampled by the beasts of illusion and desire.
