Composer: Dhurjati (or Dhoorjati) (Telugu: ధూర్జటి) (15th and 16th centuries, CE) was a Telugu poet. He was born to Singamma and Narayana in Sri Kalahasti and was the grandson of Jakkayya. He was a great devotee of lord Shiva, also known as Kalahasteeshwara. శ్రీకాళహస్తీశ్వరా!నీవు కాక ఇతర దేవతలు బ్రహ్మాండమును పిండిగా చేయలేరు.పరాక్రమముచే గెల్చుటకు దక్యముగాని, మన్మదుని చంపలేరు.లక్ష్మీదేవి అనగా సంపద కల్పించు మోహమునుంచి తప్పించు కొనలేకపోయిరి. ప్రాణములను తీయు,మృత్యువు అనెడి విషము కల్గిన పామును సునాయాసముగా జయించలేరు.వీనిలో ఏ ఒక్కటీ చేయలేని అన్య దేవతలు ఇతరులను ఏ విదముగా రక్షించగలరు.

Meaning:
O Lord! The ‘other gods’ donot have the the universe in their control, cannot overcome the pursuits of desire (manmadha), not capable of renouncing their craving for worldly prosperity (Lakshmi) nor can they control the poisonous desire (symbolized by snake). How can they, then, protect us?
