Composer: Dhurjati (or Dhoorjati) (Telugu: ధూర్జటి) (15th and 16th centuries, CE) was a Telugu poet. He was born to Singamma and Narayana in Sri Kalahasti and was the grandson of Jakkayya. He was a great devotee of lord Shiva, also known as Kalahasteeshwara. శ్రీ కాళహస్తీశ్వరా!అహా నీకు గజచర్మము వస్త్రముగాను,ఆహారము కాల కూటముగాను,బ్రహ్మకాపాలము చేతిలో గిన్నె కాగా ,క్రూర సర్పములు కంఠాభరణములుగా ఉండగా కూడా ఆ నారాయణుడైన విష్ణువు తన మనస్సును నీ పాద పద్మములందు చేర్చి దన్యుడు ఎట్లు అయినాడో కదా!

Meaning:
O Lord! Elephant skin is your garb, poison your food, skull is your bowl and poisonous serpents are the embellishments. Yet, the great Vishnu sought your blessings (He realized your greatness inspite of all these!!) – This might be the reference to Rama praying to Shiva before he starts his battle with Ravana.
