Composer: Dhurjati (or Dhoorjati) (Telugu: ధూర్జటి) (15th and 16th centuries, CE) was a Telugu poet. He was born to Singamma and Narayana in Sri Kalahasti and was the grandson of Jakkayya. He was a great devotee of lord Shiva, also known as Kalahasteeshwara. పదివేలైనను లోకకంటకులచే / ప్రాప్తించు సౌఖ్యంబు నా
మదికిన్ పథ్యముగాదు సర్వమునకున్ / మధ్యస్థుడై సత్య దా
న దయాదుల్గల రాజు నాకొసగు మే / నవ్వానినీయట్ల చూ
చి దినంబున్ముద మొందుదున్ కడపటన్ / శ్రీకాళహస్తీశ్వరా!
తాత్పర్యం:
శ్రీకాళహస్తీశ్వరా!ప్రజా పీడకులైన రాజులు నా సుఖార్థము పదివేల నాణెములిచ్చిననూ నా మనస్సుకు తృప్తి కలగదు.అన్ని విషయములందును మద్యవర్తిత్వము వహించును సత్యము దాన్ము దయా మొదలైన మంచి గుణములుకల రాజును ఒక్కని చూపుము.వానిని నిన్ను సేవించినట్లే నేను సేవించి తరించెదను అనగా మంచి గుణములు గల రాజు ఈ ప్రపంచమున లేడు అని భావము.

Meaning:
O Lord! The properity bestowed by a King (who sucks the happiness of his subjects) doesn’t satisfy my heart. Show me one King who takes care of his subjects and I would serve him as I serve you. (The poet feels that there is no king who thinks about the welfare of his subjects)
