Composer: Dhurjati (or Dhoorjati) (Telugu: ధూర్జటి) (15th and 16th centuries, CE) was a Telugu poet. He was born to Singamma and Narayana in Sri Kalahasti and was the grandson of Jakkayya. He was a great devotee of lord Shiva, also known as Kalahasteeshwara. శ్రీకాళహస్తీశ్వరా!ప్రతిరోజు నిన్నుపూజించక,చిన్మయ బ్రహ్మ పదవిని పొందలేక,సత్సంగములను చేయలేక చెడ్డవారితో స్నేహమును చేయుచూ,మీద అదములైన రాజులను సేవించగా వారు తనను కోపించగా బుద్దిమంతులైన పండితులు ఆ చిచ్చును ఆర్పుకొనుటకు రాజుల సేవలు చేయుచూ నిందలు పడుచున్నారు.ఇది అగ్నిని చల్లార్చుటకు నూనెను తనపై చల్లుకొన్నట్లున్నది.

Meaning:
O Lord! The so called scholars’ donot serve you and hence cannot witness the bliss of consciousness in their hearts. The soul burns in them, and to suppress it they serve the kings and fill their homes with worldly prosperity. It is like pouring oil on oneself to control the flames.
